The Gift and Bookstore News  The Clearance Sale in The Gift & Bookstore continues through Sunday, September 12.  Everything, except books and cards, is 30% off.  The shop will be closed on Sept. 14 & 16 to prepare for our "new look."  We will reopen on September 19 with new merchandise, new book titles and calendars. 


New Adult Programs to Start September 12

Track 1 – The Old Testament DVD series with Professor Amy Jill Levine will cover "In the Beginning," "Adam and Eve," and "Murder, Flood and Dispersion." The class will meet in the Fox Library

Track 2 – The ART of Engaging Holy Scripture. If you would like to participate, please contact Donna Farrior (743-7239) to make sure she orders you a binder. The cost for the one-year course is $75. The class will meet in the Large Conference Room.

Track 3 – Christianity in daily living. The topic for Sept. is "Listening." Listening is foundational for a spiritual life and in everyday living. We will look at skills that will help us to listen-not only to God, but also to others and ourselves. The resource book is Right Listening by Mark Brady, PhD., which will be available at the Bookstore.

Beth Dunkin Bible Study classes begin the week of September 13

Monday – Noon to 1:30 p.m. (Library): The Small Books of the Bible
Tuesday – 11:00 a.m. to Noon (Large Conference Room): Revelation
Tuesday – Noon to 1:30 p.m. (Powell Hall): Luke
Thursday – 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Library): Proverbs
Thursday – 11:00 a.m. to Noon (Large Conference Room) Revelation

REMINDER FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE BLOOD DONORS The next American Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for Sunday, September 26 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Donors must be at least 17 years of age and can safely donate whole blood every 56 days.
